Thai cookery lessons
The Pro Chef Cooking School welcomes everyone from tourists to local residents. This charming school is located in the Destination resort and boasts some superb chefs.
Lessons by Chef Saowakit Preeprem & Professional Chefs of Thailand
Chef Kit has more than 40 years culinary experience in both European and Asian dishes. He has also been president of the Thai Chefs Association for nearly 10 years, and is now also an honorary advisor to the Bangkok Chefs Association as well as a member of the Samui Chefs Club.
Chef Kit has traveled around the world as a special judge for food competitions. He has vast experience and can teach everything from basic cooking skills right up to professional kitchen management. |

The Pro Chef Cooking School also teaches fruit and vegetable carving led by Chef Suapaporn Chavijit (Khun Bee), who has won many culinary competitions.
Below is what a typical one day course looks like:-
8.00 am : You will be welcomed with a fresh drink and discuss the preparation of 3 or 4 courses with the teacher.
9.00 am : The group will then take the resort bus to visit a local market and buy some of the required ingredients. This will be
followed by a visit to the Big Buddha before returning to the cooking school where a refreshing drink and cold towel will await.
10.00 am : Time for the theory classroom, where the instructor will present a demonstration of the dishes you will be preparing .
Each student will receive a copy of the recipes at this time.
11.00 am : Now to put the theory into practice. Each student will have his or her own table and stove. Assisted by our instructor, you will learn and experience the cooking techniques of Thai and Western cuisine.
13.00 pm : Lunch time. Now you can taste and enjoy your creations. After this each student will receive a certificate, CD and recipe booklet featuring all the dishes.
